Frozen topped the chart and signalled the year's tilt toward family animation, with The Lego Movie, How to Train Your Dragon 2 and Maleficent all high. But the headline oddity is at number two: Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie, a sitcom spin-off, outselling Guardians of the Galaxy. The pattern is Marvel's machine establishing itself, Guardians charts on both DVD and Blu-ray, joined by Captain America and Thor. The surprises are the awards heavyweights selling well, 12 Years a Slave and The Wolf of Wall Street, plus Breaking Bad's complete series still charting.
